This Spring, Southern Highlands residents will enjoy a beautiful new Sports Park in their community—without paying more in monthly assessments.
In a win for Southern Highlands residents, Clark County has agreed to maintain and program the new Sports Park, slated to open May 31, 2018—which means the park comes with no added financial burden to residents.
This decision is a direct result of the collaborative working sessions between Clark County, Southern Highlands Development Corporation, HOA board representative Angie Williams, and the recently formed Homeowner Advisory Committee.
Clark County had initially hoped residents would pay for maintenance and programming, but discussions with the developer, HOA, home owners, and County resulted in a very positive outcome for everyone who is a part of the Southern Highlands master association.
“I am pleased with the efforts of our Clark County staff and Olympia Development throughout the last year to help make possible the Southern Highlands Sports Park currently under construction,” said County Commissioner Susan Brager. “I look forward to seeing the new park reach completion this Spring—and more importantly, to our continued collaboration with the Parks committee in 2018 regarding parks throughout Southern Highlands.”
