A fun, family event is in the stars! Join the Las Vegas Astronomical Society for Stargazing at Southern Highlands on Saturday, June 12 at Stonewater Park. An opportunity for a guided tour of celestial events in the desert sky, this free family-friendly event will have you seeing stars. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own meals to picnic in the park prior to the constellation viewing session. This event is open to Southern Highlands Community Association residents and their guests.
LVAS is a local nonprofit made up of amateur astronomers to promote the love and enjoyment of Astronomy. The Society was established in July of 1980, operating under the auspicies of the College of Southern Nevada Planetarium Director. For more information, please visit: LVAstronomy.com.
